I actually "borrowed" the two dolphins playing photo from her blog - she is lucky to have a home in FL where she and her husband can boat and watch these playful guys. When I think of Jayne, I think of her charm, grace, kindness, caring, generous and playful nature. We met on a food forum several years ago and I always think of her when having roasted tomatoes which I had never heard of before getting to know her. I have learned much from her and am forever grateful! Sometimes, I picture her as the gal in one of those glamorous 1960's movies riding in a yellow convertible with big sunglasses and a red scarf...hair flying behind her ;) Happy Birthday Jayne - I am very thankful you are my friend!
Next, I need to add my very best wishes for a wonderful birthday to Carol (There's Always Thyme)!
I bought the towel pictured above because it reminded me of Carol...it says "she was the life of the tupperware party". I have never met Carol in person but I KNOW she is the life of every party she attends...virtual or in real life (those in real life just get to sample her famous sangria)! Carol is Fun with a capital F and has the most amazing sense of humor! I never tire of her honesty either...while other food blogs show the perfect place setting with nare a fork out of place - Carol will show her burnt pot holders as she has left more than one on the hot stove since I have known her. Carol has a serious side too...she went through some hard times this spring but her love and strength shone through and I admired her so much more. She is kind and generous, giving and caring, and has that great playful nature that I am sure the kids she works with love the most. When I think of Carol I think of a little yellow bus with the wheels going 'round and 'round filled with pre-schoolers whose driver starts their day on a sunny note and ends it with joy! Happy Birthday Carol...I am blessed to call you a friend!Today is a day of lots of celebrating - it is also my daughter and son-in-law's second wedding anniversary...to view their card head over to my garden blog.
