Tea and Scones...

Yesterday, I had a wonderful group of women tour the gardens. I served them tea and scones and we sat on the patio and enjoyed great conversation while watching little goldfinches entertain us. I didn't remember to take pictures until they left so I posed the leftover "blooming tea" with a few leftover scones for the blog.
I have used this recipe many times and the raspberry/white chocolate version is our favorite. We also like them with blueberries and white chocolate too ;) The recipe is from Thibeault's Table, a beautiful blog whose author believes "recipes are to be shared".

Click HERE for the scone recipe on her blog. These were made with frozen raspberries and white chocolate chips.

I've made the scones from Ann's blog, and they are my favorite. I'm sure your guests are still reflecting about their day in Marsha's Garden.

Lucky friends to spend the day among your flowers and get served delicious treats.

Lucky ladies ... tea and scones in a heavenly setting. The blooming tea always is elegant, and the tea cup and plate with the little bluebird (?) are adorable.

You have the prettiest outdoor tearoom around.

I wish I would have been one of those women touring your garden and having tea and scones on your patio!

I love scones and know Ann's must be great. They are similar to Diane's (Nibbs) and they happen to live relatively close to one another. There is such a strong English influence there in British Columbia that its no wonder they do scones well :-) I need to give it a try with some blackberries
