pocket pies...

Those cute little leaf pie crust cutters weren't the only thing in my recent Williams Sonona order box. I also got these cute little pumpkin and apple pocket pie molds so I could add a little love to J's daily lunch box.I tried them out for the first time today and since there will be pumpkin things everywhere we go in the next few weeks, I made apple pies but used the pumpkin mold to be more festive.
I'm still getting the hang of this food photography thing and have discovered that food with details (cute little leaves again) looks better on a plain plate and not a cute little autumn patterned one :)

No special recipe here - just pie crust, apples and egg wash with cinnamon & sugar on top. We had to sample these two warm for the sake of the blog...the rest went in the freezer for his lunch next week.

Those are so cute, Marsha! I got the Stars set over the summer to use with the kids in camp. Yours came out perfect!

I love the Autumn dish but it shows up better on the plain one!

What else did you get? I just ordered their Pancake Pen.

Marsha, how cute ... I love getting W-S catalogs ... always see lots of eye candy and wish list items.

You made a couple of great choices, and how fun that Jeff will get such pretty snack pies in his lunch. I really like how you used the pie crust cutters on your pocket pie.

I think these are the cutest ever! I just love WS and I would love to be locked in that store one night and try all the wonderful products. I think working there would be so much fun:)

What a great mold! I love the shot of it on the plain green plate too. It looks delicious. Mr. J is lucky guy to have that in his lunch box!

Love these Marsha! And I have to say that your food photography is great. You have nice lighting..something I sorely lack even with my light box.
